Alfa Romeo Team Representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi believes that Valtteri Bottas has had a strong influence on the team perhaps not seen from the outside. Bottas joined the squad at the start of 2022 after five years of racing alongside Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes. He went on to finish the season in 10th place with 49 points. Whilst the team have faced mixed fortunes so far in 2023, Alunni Bravi expects Bottas to stay in F1 for some time in order to challenge for podiums and wins again. Christian Horner believes that Daniel Ricciardo is showing signs of returning to the calibre of Formula 1 driver that had left Red Bull in 2018. Following his departure from McLaren at the end of last season, Ricciardo elected to take on a 'third driver' role at Red Bull in order to take a break from racing.
