Horner 'didn't recognise' Ricciardo: He picked up 'habits' at other teams

Image
Christian Horner believes that Daniel Ricciardo is showing signs of returning to the calibre of Formula 1 driver that had left Red Bull in 2018. Following his departure from McLaren at the end of last season, Ricciardo elected to take on a 'third driver' role at Red Bull in order to take a break from racing. It's the first F1 season without Ricciardo in eleven years, and the popular Australian is has been tackling simulator work and promotional activities for the team so far this year. When asked about Ricciardo's progress since joining the team, Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner said that the driver they "didn't recognise " was now returning to form, and is now "desperate" to jump back in the car. Man City fixtures: How Bayern Munich Champions League tie fits into 2022/23 schedule

Manchester City have been pitted against Bayern Munich in a Champions League quarter-final littered with as many subplots as sublime players. Pep Guardiola's former employers are the only team to have won every match they've contested in this season's competition. Manchester City's Erling Haaland is the tournament's top scorer this year but Bayern Munich can boast the leading assist-provider - although, four of Joao Cancelo's five European assists came while he was playing for City (including two for Haaland) before arriving in Bavaria on loan in January. The intricate web of interwoven brilliance goes on and on. However, City are still very much in a Premier League title race with Arsenal - fortunately there are no links between individuals from both clubs in that dynamic. So, where does this Champions League quarter-final between two of the com Pet ition's favourites fit into City's calendar? How Bayern Munich tie fits into Man City's 2022/23 sch

Magic: The Gathering Reveals Its New Battle Card Type

We got our first look at the new "battle" card type that was first hinted at in Magic: The Gathering's current expansion Phyrexia: All Will Be One. The card Atraxa, Grand Unifier listed battle as a card type even though there were no battle cards. But now we know there will be at least one when March of the Machine arrives next month. Thanks to Press-Start, we have our first look at a battle card. It's called "Invasion of Zendikar," and it's not just a battle; it's a "battle - siege." As a siege enters the battlefield, it's given to an opponent who must "protect it" from you and others (if it's a multiplayer Game ). When it's defeated by dealing enough damage (denoted by the 3 in the lower-right corner), the card is then recast transformed. MultiVersus Will Go Offline June 25, Won't Be Back Until 2024

MultiVersus is going offline on June 25, and won't be back until 2024. This comes after months of complaints from fans, who were disappointed over the lack of new content. This decision to pull the plug has divided fans, with many not even aware that MultiVersus was still in its open beta stage. Those who spent money on the Game 's microtransactions are calling for refunds, but Player First Game s has already stated that it will not be amending its refund policy in light of this news. Now, the full release of the Game is scheduled for "early 2024", leaving players without the platform fighter for more than half a year. You Can Save The Dog In Resident Evil 4 Remake

Don't worry, Resident Evil fans - you can still save the white "dog" that's stuck in a bear trap in Resident Evil 4's remake, despite early Game play trailers making it seem like you couldn't. Before the Resident Evil 4 remake had even been released, Capcom managed to break everyone's heart. A Game play showcase released back in October showed Leon coming across a white dog (it's a wolf, but keeping in the spirit of Resident Evil, I'll play along) that's died in a bear trap. Considering the original Game let you save a similar dog from the same fate, it seemed as if Capcom had decided to up the ante a bit and kill the dog off from the beginning. Related: Leon Kennedy And The Return Of The Gaming Himbo THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Many predicted that wasn't actually the case and that Capcom had thrown it in there as a bait-and-switch and, thankfully, that theory was right. Kyrie Irving on Mavericks getting booed: 'If the fans wanna change places, then hey, be my guest'

Every time we think we've seen the new low of the Luka Doncic-Kyrie Irving era for the Dallas Mavericks, it gets worse. A blown 27-point lead to the Lakers? A free basket to the Warriors when they incorrectly believed that they should have had the ball? Nothing compared to Friday's loss to the Charlotte Hornets, the fourth-worst team in the NBA on the second night of a back-to-back in a must-win Game . Things got so bad for the Mavericks that they were booed by their own fans. Coach Jason Kidd couldn't argue. "We probably should have been booed in the first quarter," Kidd said after the Game . Irving took a different approach. "I've been in New York City, so I know what that's like," Irving said. "You obviously want to play well, but it's only five people on the court that can play for the Dallas Mavericks. If the fans wanna change places , then hey, be my guest

A ‘bunker’ in purgatory: Shakira’s complicated relationship with Barcelona

Image
In 2010, Shakira was riding a Harley without a helmet down Barcelona’s Moll de la Fusta, howling like a wolf. Now, she is living in an anti-paparazzi “bunker” in the Catalan municipality of Esplugues de Llobregat. She even put up a witch-like mannequin on her balcony, facing her ex mother-in-law’s house. So what happened between the song Loca, when the Colombian singer was filmed skating down the Barceloneta beach, surrounded by crowds and taking a dip in city fountains in broad daylight, and this year’s BZRP session #53, where she is secluded in an airless studio, voicing her rage and complaining that she lives practically like a hostage? One could say that Shakira’s relationship with Barcelona is similar to that of a movie that appears great in the trailer, but ultimately fails to deliver. She has had quiet but cut-off life, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. “In Barcelona, Shakira has had a comfortable and quiet life. Now she wants to sell her house and get out b

To protect her young hippo from the lion’s attack, the mother hippo rushes in (Video)

Image
Hippos are one of the most dangerous animals in Africa. They are known to be incredibly aggressive, especially when it comes to protecting their territory and offspring. In a recent viral video, a baby hippo was seen defending its mother from a bloodthirsty male lion. The video starts with a hungry lion discovering a mother hippo lying on the side of the road, exhausted from dehydration. The baby hippo stands in front of its mother, trying to prevent the lion from reaching her. Despite the significant size difference between the baby hippo and the lion, the hippo charges at the predator to scare it away and protect its mother . The lion tries to pounce on the baby hippo , but it manages to escape and then returns to attack the lion again. Eventually, the lion gives up and retreats. However, the mother hippo died shortly after the video was recorded due to dehydration. The baby hippo, not yet old enough to feed itself, also died of dehydration two days later. This h

Shakira becomes latest artist to sell rights to catalogue of hits

Image
The Colombian singer Shakira has become the latest big name artist to cash in on her catalogue of hits, selling the publishing rights to the London-based music royalties investment firm Hipgnosis. The most successful female Latin singer of all-time, with more than 80m album sales to her name, Shakira has sold the rights to her 145-song catalogue for an undisclosed sum. The three-time Grammy award winner’s string of hits, which began with the release of her first album in 1991 at the age of 13, include Hips Don’t Lie, Whenever, Wherever and the 2010 Fifa World Cup song Waka Waka. “Being a songwriter is an accomplishment that I consider equal to and perhaps even greater than being a singer and an artist,” said Shakira. “At eight years old, long before I sang, I wrote to make sense of the world. I know Hipgnosis will be a great home for my catalogue.” The streaming boom has encouraged investors to put their cash into companies like Hipgnosis, a London stock market-listed outfi

Silent Hill 2 Remake Artist Gave Nurse Stockings As She "Exposed Skin Too Much"

One of the best things about remakes – besides the fact that you can replay a classic Game with current-gen fidelity – is that the developers can change, or entirely remove, certain aspects that could have been different in retrospect. Whether it's simply improving on certain animations and voicelines, or subtly adding gender neutral bathrooms to a spaceship to annoy idiots, remakes give devs a second chance to do things differently. Silent Hill 2 artist Masahiro Ito didn't pass up this opportunity. While working on the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake, Ito probably made a number of changes which he thought about over the years since the launch of the original. While we'll only see these changes when the remake is finally out, we did get to see one of them via the images released by Bloober Team. The image shows James pointing a gun at one of the Game 's iconic bubble-headed nurses. While the visuals looked absolutely stunning, fans spotted that the nurse was wearin
