Luton Town 1-1 Liverpool: Player ratings as Diaz scores dramatic late equaliser

Luis Diaz struck a late equaliser for Liverpool to deny Luton Town a memorable Premier League victory on Sunday afternoon. While Liverpool undoubtedly had chances, Luton largely contained the visitors before pouncing on the break late on through former Manchester United academy star Tahith Chong. The hosts did a great job of ensuring they weren't subject to wave after wave of white and green pressure. The Reds did have chances with Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota both going close, but the hosts also posed a threat. The Hatters were able to win...

An on-fire Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the Game in the first half, which also helped Erik ten Hag’s enact revenge for a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Bees in August. It was a bright and high-tempo start from the home side, looking to bounce back from defeat to Newcastle at the weekend, with a flurry of early corners. With Brentford determined to stay compact and a little reluctant to press to avoid coming out of that shape, it was down to the hosts to be inventive. That started to happen out wide midway through the first half, with good work from Diogo Dalot and Antony on the right eventually presenting the ball to Scott McTominay, whose drive from 20 yards narrowly flew over. Antony seemed up for the challenge and a cut inside and curling shot just miss the far post. But the breakthrough came in the aftermath ...
